However, Newcomer children enrolment reaches only half the enrollment numbers of native Japanese students. After the lapse of more than 25 years since the amendment of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act of 1990, Newcomer children born in Japan (second generation) have gone through Japanese national schools experiencing issues related to culture adaptation, bullying, school truancy, etc. Although the enrollment rate has increased little by little, the dropout rate is also high. This issue not only affects the future of Newcomer children but also Japan's chance to acquire a diverse and talented youth. In this paper, through interviews and field work, we analyze the factors and the causes that lead to high school dropouts of immigrant youths in Japan. Also we considered the necessary assistance and support in order to prevent a drop-outs, and the current guidance tasks for immigrant students.}, pages = {171--177}, title = {高等学校中途退学の現状と生徒指導の課題 ―外国人児童生徒における体験からの考察―}, volume = {4}, year = {2016}, yomi = {オチャンテ ムライ, ロサ メルセデス} }
