Ekken’s educational ideas have been affected Japanese home education. In Edo period basically had been kept peace and social order. At that time, younger men maintained social order also they had played a role children to train about respect the vertical relationships and good manners. Ekken supposed that parents should learn the educational knowledge, because they greatly influence to their children. Later Ekken published lots of educational books in written kana characters for the public. His philosophy was based on confucianism as folkways in the capacity of manners and customs. It was purposed virtuous acts - “Kou” with an emphasis on Jin and Rei. He mentioned that it should be a strictly education before children work iniquity. Ekken’s theory of education plan and practice based on the growth of children got grass-root support.
